Problem: The McAfee Client is running on the XP workstation however in security center and outlook it appears as if the client does not have a valid antivirus suit in place.

When you open Outlook go to Tools> Trust Center> Programmatic Access you see the following:
After researching and trying everything from reinstalling Office, reinstalling McAfee suite, Clearing the security center cache… The fix, as crazy and easy as it sounds, is to remove the workstation from the domain restart it, log on as a local administrator, open up security center (Start> Control Panel> Security Center) exit that then rejoin the PC back to the domain. Then the status will change back to “Valid”
